Credit manager
Bridgefield can help you take control of your financial future.

Check your credit status
It is important to be proactive and check your credit report on a regular basis. Not only will you be better prepared when speaking with lenders, but you can also receive early warning signs of fraud.
You should review your credit report from the three major U.S. credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) at least once a year, especially before making a large purchase, like a house or a car.
Ordering your report
Everyone is entitled to one free credit report a year from each of the three major credit agencies. To order your free credit report please visit www.annualcreditreport.com.
In addition, you’re entitled to a free report:
- Within 60 days of being denied credit, insurance, or employment
- If you’re unemployed and plan to look for a job within 60 days
- If you’re on welfare
- If your report is inaccurate because of fraud, including identity theft
If you’ve already obtained your free report, and the above do not apply to you, you must purchase another report directly from the credit agencies.
Equifax: 1-800-685-1111 or www.equifax.com
Experian: 1-888-397-3742 or www.experian.com
TransUnion: 1-800-916-8800 or www.transunion.com
Order all three credit reports from Fair Isaac: www.myfico.com
How to fix errors on your report
The most effective way to question an inconsistency on your credit report is by contacting any of the credit reporting agencies directly and submitting a formal dispute. Once a formal dispute has been filed, the credit reporting agency is required to conduct an investigation that includes contacting the creditor to verify the reported information. The credit reporting agency will then notify you of its findings at the conclusion of the investigation.
