Privacy Policy

This notice is provided to you by Bridgefield Mortgage Corporation (“Bridgefield”) and all of the Citadel companies to explain the types of personal information we collect about you, the circumstances in which we share personal information, and the steps we take to protect that information.

Information We Collect

• We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets, and income;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance and payment history;
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history;
• and Information we receive from other sources for underwriting, pricing, and risk purposes, and to help us determine your creditworthiness, including real estate appraisers or employers.

How We Use and Share Information

Sharing With Non-Affiliated Third Parties.
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law. For example, we may share information with third parties that help us service or maintain your loan. We may also disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.

Sharing With Affiliated Companies.
We may disclose the nonpublic personal information we collect about you, described above, to our affiliated companies in order to service your account, to improve our products and services, to assist in the development and improvement of our underwriting, pricing, and risk analysis processes, to let you know about products and services, and as otherwise required or permitted by law.

Our affiliates include financial services companies that invest in and trade various financial instruments and securities or engage in or provide investment, research, financial analysis, credit analysis, and other services, and financial services companies that make and service residential mortgage loans. For example, we may share with our affiliates personal information that was collected to determine your eligibility for products and services you previously requested from us, such as your income, account history with us and your credit score. We may also share with our affiliates personal information that was collected to improve the analytical tools that we use to understand the financial, credit, and other risks associated with particular types of loans, securities, or other financial instruments that we might originate or in which we might invest. You have certain choices with respect to our sharing information with affiliates as described. Those choices are described below in the section entitled “Your Opt-Out Rights.”

Your Opt-Out RIghts

As discussed above, we may share your personal information with affiliated companies or as permitted or required by law. Unless applicable law otherwise permits us to share information with our affiliates, you have the right to restrict the types of information that we share with affiliates.

Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all sharing of information with our affiliates. You may limit affiliates in the Bridgefield and Citadel groups of companies, such as our mortgage lending, mortgage loan servicing and securities affiliates, from marketing their products or services to you based on your personal information that we collect and share with them. This information includes your income, account history with us and your credit score.

You may also limit certain information we share with affiliates for other than marketing purposes, such as information we share with affiliates to assist in the development and improvement of our underwriting, pricing, and risk analysis processes. However, federal law permits us to share information about our transactions and experiences with you (such as your name, payment history and similar information) with our affiliates for other than marketing purposes.

Your choice to limit us from sharing information with our affiliates will continue until you tell us to change your choice.

How We Protect Information

We authorize only those employees who need access to nonpublic personal information about you to perform their job functions to access that information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that are designed to safeguard your nonpublic personal information. After you are no longer a customer of ours, we will continue to treat the non-public information we have about you as if you were still our customer.
